There will be a CCW training class on May 26, 2013 for Law Enforcement and immediate household family members, beginning at 8am. This CCW class is reserved for members of Law Enforcement/immediate family only (Reserves, non-sworn personnel, Judges, prosecutors, parole, probation, etc...) To sign up for this course, send us an email.

We have a guest on May 25, 2013!!  There will be a Personal Self-Defense training course (no firearms involved) on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at our Lincoln Training Facility.  The course instructor is Joe Bertoni (a seasoned Deputy Sheriff). This is a course that you will not want to miss! If you purchased a voucher, your voucher is valid for any sex, although I do have Women's Only courses. If you do not see a convenient scheduling date, we have many more coming up throughout each month. See the FAQ's for more information on the vouchers. Please plan on scheduling your course at "least" 2 to 4 weeks in advance, if possible. After succesful completion of the Basic Pistol course, you are eligible to attend our Concealed Weapons Permit training for an additional $75.00 + range fee (provided that you have no CCW disqualifying factors). However, DO NOT purchase this deal (or any discounted offer) specifically for a CCW course. The CCW course is an entirely different training package, and differs in fees.

Best Handgun Training Instructors are certified by the National Rifle Association.

Firearms safety is of the utmost importance. It is our goal to educate and teach you the  knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a firearm safely. 

We encourage the continued development of these skills, while pursuing the sport of target shooting, competitive events and other courses.

Gun Safety is a very serious matter, which cannot be taken lightly. Becoming a handgun owner or a Concealed Weapons Permit Holder assumes a tremendous amount of responsibility and liability.

Just because you own or may have access to a firearm (unless you have had some training) doesn't mean that you have the "proper" training, knowledge and ability to use it safely, store it propery, and be prepared for any situation. The proper training with a firearm is extremely important.

Our Certified Instructors pride themselves with instructing some of the best firearms training courses available to the public.

Whether you are new to shooting, or an experienced shooter, you will find that the variety of firearms courses which we offer can be a great wealth of experience.

Best Handgun Training conducts regularly scheduled training classes throughout the month. If you require special needs, our instructors may be able to accommodate your request.

We are pleased to announce that Best Handgun Training now offers Basic courses just for women. Over time, some women have requested such a course, to relieve the pressure of competing with men in the class. Although a majority of our courses are for both men and women, now there may be an opportunity to enroll in a course designed just for your needs.

The NRA does not certify CCW (Carry Concealed Weapons) courses.

Best Handgun Training also provides a Concealed Firearms Permit training certification for 34 "shall issue" states. This is an excellent opportunity to satisfy the requirements for these states, while only needing to apply within one or more states to obtain reciprocity throughout many other states (excluding CA, as CA does NOT have reciprocity agreements with any other state).

Although Best Handgun Training provides CCW Training and Instructions/Certifications/Qualifications in 33 states, this does not apply to all CA counties. CA CCW training requirements may vary from county to county. Please email or call for further clarifications.
